Pinoy Waffles is a casual cafe tucked inside Pacific Mall’s food court in Markham, bringing a focused slice of Filipino street food culture alongside a handful of sweet treats centered around their signature waffles. This spot suits anyone looking for a quick, satisfying snack that’s a little different from the usual mall fare, especially if you have a sweet tooth or enjoy Filipino-style street eats.

The atmosphere here is unassuming and practical, typical of a bustling food court setting, making it a great stop for a midday pick-me-up or an afternoon snack while wandering the mall. It’s not a place for lingering over coffee but rather a spot to grab freshly made food on the go. The owners’ warmth and attentiveness often come through, even in this fast-paced environment, which adds a friendly local vibe amid the mall’s crowds.

The menu is compact yet well-curated, showcasing dishes like lumpia (Filipino spring rolls), kwek kwek (crispy battered quail eggs), and siomai (pork dumplings), alongside their standout sweet items. The Ube Filled Waffle is a highlight, often remarked on for its ideal balance of soft, fragrant purple yam filling inside a crisp waffle shell. Other desserts like the halo halo—Filipino shaved ice layered with various toppings—and puto bumbong, a sticky purple rice cake seasonal to weekends, offer familiar flavors done with care and enough sweetness to satisfy dessert lovers.

Pinoy Waffles works well for visitors who enjoy flavorful but approachable bites that reflect classic Filipino street food without the formality of a traditional sit-down restaurant. It’s especially popular among those wanting to explore Filipino treats in a convenient setting, whether returning customers or newcomers. Weekends tend to be the best time to visit if you want to catch the limited availability of specials like puto bumbong.

In short, this spot fits comfortably as a casual stop to sample authentic, freshly made Filipino snacks inside a lively mall environment—great for quick cravings or sharing a taste of Filipino flavors with friends while out and about in Markham.

Tried their halo halo - quite good but quite sweet… still enjoyed it, would come back to try other desserts!

Bought a variety of waffles after almost 3 months of closure due to the pandemic. Though they are currently only available for curb-side pickup, ordering was simple and easy! (The owners are also some of the kindest and most considerate people ever.) I extremely recommend the ube waffles, but I also never forget to order the kwek kwek as well. Food was made fresh, and it’s so simple yet delicious.

I have been here many times and the service is always great. I love their menu as it may not have a lot but they surely offer the best. I have been to other filipino street food type of menu locations and this is my most favourite so far. I have tried their kwek kwek, waffles, fried and steamed siomai, lumpia, etc. and they were all delicious. I have been here on busy days/times and not so busy hours. I prefer buying here on weekdays and bring cash as there is a $5 fee on card transactions which is understandable considering this is a small business. There are two chairs with a table at the side of the store. I usually buy takeouts and their packaging is neat! Everything is secured well, awesome! Keep up the great service and food!

I had the pleasure of trying Pinoy Waffles for the first time when a family friend took me there. Ive always frequented Pacific mall prior to covid but I never bothered to walk down the food court's middle aisle. I do have to say that it is indeed a yummy little snack to have while you walk around Pacific mall. I had the opportunity to try the apple cinnamon and ham and cheese and they were delightful. Prices were very reasonable and I enjoyed it. Though their name is Pinoy Waffles, they do have other non waffle items which I will be trying on my next visit. I will be frequenting this place whenever I'm in the area. Staff were very kind and courteous. Overall would recommend.

Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! Puto Bumbong - This is a sweet tooth's wet dream, subjecting glutinous, chewy rice cakes to a bombardment of condensed milk, brown sugar, and grated coconut for a massive dose of sugary dopamine that has depth.

You can’t go to P Mall and not hit up Pinoy Waffles for filipino snacks like kwek kwek and iskrambol. Amazing service as always - they treat everyone like family and quality’s always on point!

The best halo halo I've tried in Canada. The shaved ice is almost like bingsu consistency. Good texture with the toppings. I'll definitely buy again.

A nice little find in the p mall food court upstairs Nice little mom & pop shop that sells some Filipino treats and snacks The waffles are made fresh and come in many flavours. Got the custard ones as I knew my kids would love the creamy texture. The filled waffle sticks are really nice. The waffle itself was fresh and soft and the perfect doughy texture. Combined with the milky custard, it was a great bite each time Service was quick to get your orders in, but could take some time to get ready when it gets busy as it’s all made to order, so be patient when that happens. Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids, and more amazing content
